The Midwest Cancer Alliance (MCA), The Outreach Network of the University of Kansas Cancer Center (KUCC), is a membership-based organization that partners with cancer research, care, and support professionals to advance the quality and accessibility of cancer prevention, detection, treatment and suvivorship in the Heartland.

Positions are available for a Community Outreach Internship. This position would be responsible for assisting with special projects and administrative tasks for the MCA including:

-Assistance at MCA sponsored events (Pool Cool-sun safety education; Health Fairs and Health screenings; Promotional booths; Community outreach events)
-Data entry
-General office duties
-Creating marketing materials
-Internet research and social media posts
-Community involvement
-Other duties and projects as assigned

The ideal candidate will be reliable, work in collaboration with the staff and fellow intern team, and have strong customer services skills. Required skills for the position include knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, document development, and editing. Experience with general office equipment. Flexible scheduling. Punctual and reliable transportation.
